Stoping the transmisson of HIV from mother to child begins with a test. Finding out the mother's HIV status, gives the best chance of preventing the baby been infected.

Mozambique has made large strides in rolling out the testing and treatment which prevents mother to child transmission. If the drugs are taken at the right times, there is a high probability that the child will be free of HIV.
