I saw a cool exercise with some random street arm wrestler guy. You go to a park, find a swing, grab the chains and let your body hang horizontally while you just hold it there as long as you can while keeping the angle. You can even adjust your grip so it works for either a top roll or a hook.

@kenshindesu I should take this video down. I had no clue what i was doing back then. I dont think a workout like this would harm you, but you really wont get much out of it. I will be posting new vids shortly of my prgress and proper exercises for arm wrestling. Keep Pulling everyone!!!!!!

You need to by the bar that just works out the pronator muscles of the wrist. Much more effective.

agreed. I dont do this much anymore. I work a lot with resistance bands, the cable machines at the gym and just solid table time.

but then what's the point..? You're targetting the muscles needed to keep the dumbbell upright (against gravity) rather than towards the sides. I can understand if you were to do this lying down on your side to lift dumbbell against gravity, but from what I can see you're not training muscles needed for arm wrestling at all.

The only time that gravity has an ill effect on the reality of how it should work your muscles, is when the dumbbell is in the start position. However, if you know anything about armwrestling and backpressure, this position actually helps strengthen your backpressure...just like a hammer curl would. Nothing is as good as training with someone else. This just helps bring comfort to the motion on the table. It makes a lot more sense than standing and whipping a dumbbell around randomly.
