  • what cpu are you using?

I'm trying to decide between a amd zacate or a good old athlon quad core

  • @sausagenmuff

i stated the MBO that I've used - it's MBO with ATOM 330 (1.6GHz)!! (note that this is two year old build)

in your case, I would go with zacate (low power consuption, silent cooling, etc..), but notice that currently xbmc (linux version that I'm using) have problems with zacate, but they are already working on it. I'll probably build new build within few weeks with zacate myself!

  • nice.

does the wiiremote work out of the box?

  • @AlmostHighTV

no, but it's easy to get it work. you only need "xbmc-wiiremote" package installed (I believe that it's installed in current version of xbmc live) and setup so it starts automatically.

  • i though this was "X" "B"ox "M"edia "C"omputer

until i saw that wii remote XD

  • @J0nny2k5

    it's XBMC Live (Linux).

  • @sausagenmuff How fast boots up your Win XP machine?

  • @ejbanjonac also ended up going with xp and booting up xbmc as a shell, believe it or not it boots faster than the standalone linux version

  • @ejbanjonac went with a celeron e4300, ended up being cheaper and more powerful but still silent

  • AWESOME! :D
