Pilotos y científicos llaman a reanudar investigación en EEUU sobre los OVNI

WASHINGTON.- Pilotos militares y civiles, que afirman haber presenciado objetos voladores no identificados, así como científicos reunidos en Washington llamaron este lunes a las autoridades estadounidenses a reanudar oficialmente la investigación sobre los OVNI, abandonadas hace cerca de 40 años.

"Queremos que el gobierno estadounidense deje de perpetuar el mito de que existe una explicación lógica y convencional a todos los fenómenos OVNI. Nuestro país debe reanudar la investigación oficial que abandonó en 1969", declaró en una conferencia de prensa Fife Symington, ex gobernador del Estado de Arizona y ex piloto de la Fuerza Aérea, testigo personal de la aparición de un OVNI en 1997.

El llamado fue realizado por un grupo internacional de 19 pilotos, científicos y líderes políticos, que en su mayoría atestiguaron públicamente este lunes en Washington sobre su experiencia con un OVNI.

Entre ellos, un piloto retirado de la Fuerza Aérea, que cruzó en 1994 un "enorme disco volante" en un vuelo Niza-Londres, un piloto de un caza iraní que intentó en vano atacar a un OVNI en 1976, o un ex alto funcionario de la administración de la aviación civil (FAA), a quien se confiscó una investigación sobre un OVNI avistado en Alaska en 1987.

"Quién cree en los OVNI? es el tipo de actitud que toma sistemáticamente la FAA. Cuando pregunté a un alto funcionario de la CIA qué pensaba al respecto, me dijo: 'es realmente un OVNI, pero no se le puede decir a los estadounidenses, todo el mundo entraría en pánico'", declaró a la prensa.

If the govt really is denying the UFO sightings them they must think people are clueless. Its naive to think we are alone in the universe, and these sightings show there is a lot about space that we dont know.

@synapse131 There is no such thing as a trained observer. Anecdotal evidence is the lowest possible form of evidence. And credible people are not immune from making poor observations. Everyone should be a skeptic. It's not a negative word.
