Ed Toutant was WWTBAM's 9th millionaire...he originally appeared on WWTBAM on January 28 and January 31 of 2001 during Millionaire's run with their increasing jackpot. He only went home at first with $1,000 after missing on what was later proven to be a flawed $16,000 question. He was brought back later that year in early September with a new $16K question and, of course, went all the way and won the $1,860,000 prize he was originally playing for.

This is his initial run up through the faulty question.

NOTE: There's an edit at around 7:13 of the movie...this is because the DVD ripper I have can only rip 5 minute clips at a time since it isn't registered. The edit is small, but doesn't affect the movie that much.

  • Hello mrjohnnynitro. Will GSN show it? Do you know it?Please watch GSN,if Millionaire is coming on GSN(Dan Blonsky).I think, the USA Who wants to be a Millionaire Version is interresting.I´m from Germany,I have no Chance to watch GSN in Germany. But you have the Chance to watch GSN.You are from the USA.Please, should Dan Blonsky coming on Millionaire to GSN:Please rekord it.

    Thank you.

  • Fendtionaer -- I don't have a clip of Dan Blonsky winning a million dollars at the moment...at the rate GSN is airing their reruns, I'm not sure when they'll air it. They air them in order every night at around 7:00pm here, but on weekends, they go by a different order of airing the shows. Right now, they're airing the shows during their progressive jackpot, which should be at $1.89 million on tonight's rerun. If they ever air it, I'll try and get it for ya, but I can't make any guarantees.

  • Part II: If the writers had written "Britain" instead, there might have still been some protest, but WWTBAM could have gotten away with it because it would be correct, as England and Scotland are part of Britain. But as it is, the glowing tomato research was in fact done in England. Most of the audience

was aware of this, since 63% picked the tomato.

  • Part III: Ed notified WWTBAM about his research, agreed with Ed, and invited him back to resume his run at the million-plus dollars.

  • i want to see his $16K-$125K questions before i watch the video of his $250K-$1.86M questions

  • Also, just saying but a tomato is a fruit...

  • Why isn't he saying 'Final Answer'?

  • I dont see what was wrong with the question, it clearly stated "Which Vegetable". Tomatos can't be the right answer because Tomatos are actually fruit.

  • @TamDillionaire $1.86 million, to be exact.

And yeah... those $16K questions can be tricky sometimes!

  • The 16K questions were always inordinately difficult it seems. Well... sometimes at least... in this case and in a few other cases I can think of. Rick Rosner really got shafted. I'd love to see his run.

  • HE SAID I DIDNT WANTA GET OUTA THE GAME THIS EARLY AAAAA MAN FOR REAL

  • he said i didnt wanta get outa this game so early lol lol lol
