@jethro035181: I'm not quite sure where the helmets of the former GDR Volksarmee were manufactured. I could imagine they were manufactured by a company either in Saxony or some other supplier who vied for the contract & got it. In any case, they're a spin-off of the older Wehrmacht helmet but with a shorter cut.

Much better than the Bundeswehr of today, you couldnt get a more tame looking army. Their marching looks like sleep walking.
