For anybody that is interested there is a new book out based on the Farah PRT. "Words in the Dust" is a novel by former soldier Trent Reedy who helped to establish the Farah PRT and was with the first group of 19 soldiers into Farah in 2004. You can find the book in book stores or on amazon, the audio book will be released in Jan/Feb 2012.
I enjoyed the idea and execution of this compendium. Many of the reports contained within this long feature originally went by so fast as stand-alone stories that it was good to tie them all together and give us, the viewers, a chance to better appreciate the totality of effort and amount of improvement across a broad panoply of intiatives. Well-written and delivered by the on-camera anchor who serves as narrative continuity between segments. Good work and reporting, thanks for sharing.
