Disney Channel used to show this movie quite a bit when I was younger, and I want to say this promo is from late 1986. I've still got a copy recorded from Jan 1990 and the premier of 'Nutcracker Suite' from '88. I look back fondly at vintage DC stuff and, to be honest, I wouldn't be able to pry myself off the couch if Disney Channel returned the programming style to it's heydays. Happy 108th birthday Walt!

anyone know who the annocer is? I heard him when he was annoucing the trailer of The hobbit, the cartoon version whenever it would air on the disney channel. It's been so long and I still remember that vioce!

I'll bet this was 1985 or 1986. The old Disney Channel use to be a paid premium TV service like HBO and you paid $10 dollars a month for the service. Compared to today's Disney Channel with the Hanna Montana repeats, that is not worth a single penny! Sorry!
