haha i play viola and mdm (melodic death metal) guitar. and my guitar playing leaks into my viola playing. my shitty teacher told me to NOT to improv during festival, but i did a sweet arpeggio run in one of of our songs and we got like all 3's it was sweet but she banned me from concerts :(

violas are the best, violins are overated, and composers are dumb for never giving us the melody!!! there are great violists out there, but no one will konw about them thanks to the fact that violas never have the melody by themselves...=-( copy and paste this if you agree!!! VIOLAS 4EVER!!!
