Does evolution predict the crocoduck?

Of course not!

Find out what evolutionary theory actually predicts about intermediate forms in the fossil record.

  • Awesome. I look forward to the next episode

  • It's already in the works. I just have to find time to record it.

  • Great video.

What's the animal which fossil is seen at 8:12 called? I see this one pretty often.

  • Thanks for asking. I've added an annotation that points this out.

  • Maybe science needs ignorance to fight against. (like Batman needs the Joker). This compells the creative and knowledgable people to make great videos...like this one.

  • A Crocoduck would be a kick-ass pet.

  • Evolution is wrong because I trust Jesus over science (even tho Jesus never said anything about evolution, nor did he ever really say Genesis is real).

  • This set of videos is just brilliant. Thank you for taking the time to make something of such great educational value.

  • @MrJackclarke That is a leap of logic fallacy. Because something cannot be detected, it isn't real? Then Black holes, dark matter, dark energy, the Big bang, evolution, genetics have all not been real until the last few centuries.

  • @MrJackclarke Unfulfilled by your standards. And yet religious (any religion) people consistently poll higher in satisfaction, happiness, and quality of life than the none religious. I would say that, true or not, that clearly suggests a much more fulfilled life. Also, based on all of the statements you have made, a four year old could read a single passage from the bible and have a better comprehension of Christianity than you.

  • @MrJackclarke Actually, it is not an inconsistency, even if your argument had merit it really wouldn't be. But if any of the Abrahamic religions are true, then there would have to be multiple religions. They would all be corruptions of the true religion. Islam goes deep into that idea, while Christianity and Judaism only modestly deal with it. As for the other chromosomes, I feel that that is part of the point. Jesus, under most understandings of Christianity, likely had no human Chromosomes.

  • @MrJackclarke I have to disagree on the prophecy part. The original argument against the Prophecies in Daniel were that they were to specific, and thus had to be written after the events, but being that the books were put together by the Sanhedrin prior to the events that are attributed to Daniel, that is obviously not the case. What we find vague were likely very specific at the time. And no, I have no problem with evolution.

  • evoluution is totlaly fake!!! i no this becuz of da word of god, and it deosnt say nything bout evolutoin!

  • @MrJackclarke have you ever heard about the inquistions that pope gregory IX assigned to the church in the 12th century? they killed and tortured anyone who spoke out against the church with scientific views and ideas. Even galileo was warned and later punished in the 1600s for his scientific studies because it went against the bible and the church. the church didnt want science to progress so people wouldnt realize religion is BS and leave the church. now why would god want people to do harm?

  • @Melchisedec1234 its totally not real when a "god" brings someone back to life after they have been dead for 3 days and that person was born from a virgin mother. Where did the other chromosomes come from? study the egyptian religion of horus. him and jesus basically share the same characteristics. another reason religion is a fallacy. and why are there so many? another innconsistency. apply logic and critical thinking please and dont reject science.

  • @Melchisedec1234 prove to me that can happen. why hasnt that been scientificallyconfrimed? just because it is written down dosent mean it is true. prophecies are so vague (and they have to be) that if something happens that fits the decription of the prediction then yes you can say it was predicted, but by chance, and something similar to what was predicted could have happend too. so almost anything can fit into a predicted prediction. and what about all those predictions that are wrong though?
