DRUMMERS: Get a sneak-peek look at Drumeo... http://www.drumeo.com
.
Do you want more lessons on the one handed roll? If you do, please like and comment on this video telling me exactly what you'd like to see. I am happy to film more, but I need all of your feedback. Thanks for watching!
.
P.S. You can call this technique whatever you wish. You may hear people call it a one handed roll, the freehand technique (Johnny Rabb), gravity blast, gravity roll, single hand roll, etc. PLEASE stop arguing about what we should all collectively call it. Who cares what anyone calls it? You can call it "The Rumperschnitzel Schwanger Banger" if you want...it won't change how the roll is performed or applied.

  • If he is using two snares then it's technically not a one handed drumroll because it's it's just like using two hands on one snare.

  • Is he using two snares? I've never heard of the rumpelschnitzel whatty

  • sanks

  • If my snare drum is not high enough to bounce it off of my leg, do I just create a stopping point for myself?

  • does your stick really hit the rim? doesn't this damage the drum?
