Two adult male wapitis (elks) were fighting antler-to-antler at the side of the Yellowhead Highway, about halfway between Jasper town and the Miette turn-off. I have the entire video of the last four minutes of the fight posted on YouTube. You can even hear the sounds of the antlers banging together (starting about half-way through, when I remember to turn off the radio).
Please forgive the shakiness, as I was driving slowly to keep up with the elks. It is hard to tell from the video, but they actually travelled quite a distance during the four-minute span of video.
