This is a video compilation showing that our senior design project successfully fulfilled the requirements (PSSCs - Project Specific Success Criteria) we set at the conception of the project.

We created this project at Purdue University, as part of ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) 477, Senior Design.

It is an autonomous vehicle with the ability to track and follow targets and to navigate to GPS coordinates.

All computation is performed on board on 2 FreeScale 9S12HC32 microcontrollers and an Intel Atom board.

The project included the design of a custom printed circuit board (pcb) on which are the microcontrollers, power supply H-bridge, battery charging circuit, and sensor connection headers.

  • Hi. I'm currently a Graduate student in ECE at Purdue. I was checking out all 477 projects of this time. This one is definitely the best that i've seen. Its beautiful.

  • Very cool project! I'm curious, what software did you use for the image/object tracking? Did you write it yourselves?

    Great job!
