Amstel Gold Craze 2008

I still feel no 'Amstellovich' and think the name of the only Dutch cycling classic should immediately be changed to "Ronde van Limburg". But nevertheless, a year later I return.

Same climbs (VRAKELBERG & EYSERBOSWEG), same spots, but certainly a different approach and a different bunch.

Also an opportunity to see my dream house at a dream location in Eyserheide (not in need of paint like my withered hair).

Nou tegen het eind zag je ze op de Vrakelberg op tv echt harken, terwijl het daar juist in de bocht makkelijker wordt :P

Maar in het Eyserbos gingen de voorsten echt snoeihard. Toch, als ik met jou fiets, merk ik zelf al dat het gemakkelijker gaat. Als we in een grote groep zouden fietsen zou het ook al veel minder moeite kosten.

Ik had ook een familiebijeenkomst zeldzaam afgezegd om hier bij te zijn -- zeer de moeite waard toch. Ik kom alleen zelf moeilijk vooruit dit jaar :P xx J.

Oww well thank you so very much, that is an awesome compliment!! But to be honest, if you ask me, I still have no idea how to cover shots best, that is why at the first climb for too long you see every rider pass like a stroboscope..

Nice effect for 4 seconds, but then I should have just panned ahead, like I did later. But ok, guess I'll never make a totally satisfying video :)

And yeah just carried another bag of DIY goodies home, going bankrupt.. building markets are worse than drugs!!
