AT&T Gophone (PayGo) Roams

Some say pay as you go doesn't roam anywhere, but it does, on Centennial's network in supposedly the entire Northern Indiana, southern michigan, and NW ohio. I have verified that it does in NE Indiana, and NW ohio. Also in my area AT&T runs 1900, Cent runs 850, notice the interference while registered on Cent's 850 band network. The other noise, is the shutter from the AF motor on the camera.

Why, so we can have more monopolies? that doesn't make sense, at all. And no, i don't want our only GSM/UMTS/HSPA provider on 850/1900 to go out of business, at all.

Why is it that it doesn't buzz on AT&T's 1900 network but it does on Centennial's 850 network? I notice this in my area. The old Dobson network, now AT&T, buzzes a lot. But when connected to an AT&T 1900 site, you get like no buzzing.
