On Thursday 9th June, the exciting internet section of the TAKE 6 PROJECT was launched at Cecil Sharp House in London. This gives access to facsimilies of over 22,000 manuscript documents of six important folk song collectors for study and learning purposes.
This video was taken at the launch party to mark over two years work of digitising this huge collection of English folk songs and has speeches by the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library Director, Malcolm Taylor and by the President of the English Folk Song and Dance Society, Shirley Collins
This is great to see Shirley move and speak ,I have not seen her since the 70s, thank you!!!!!!!!

Oh, thank you for putting this up. Congratulations on finishing this phase of your ongoing project. Malcolm Taylor seems like a dedicated and interesting fellow. But to see Shirley Collins speak and laugh has utterly made my day. I am a huge fan, in far western New York state.
Cheers and congrats to you all!
