@TOMHYLE88 I know what they were the stick men and the signs and portents.. I just don't have the primitive superstitions. I'm the kid who got beat up in school for being too smart I had to learn to act dumb. My stork got lost and I accidently got placed on planet of the apes. Their minds may be weak but they have powerful emotions and are nonetheless just as dangerous

@TOMHYLE88 The example on Cousteau's Amazon said "we killed some foreigners last week for trespassing." The Cousteau crew did exactly what they should have; ran for their lives (well, got back on their boat) Similarly I've read The Forgotten criticized by folks who obviously had no idea that everything in it is traditional lore attested by thousands of people. I rather liked Blair Witch. The idiot who threw the map in the creek needed beaten, but I'll save some lives; if lost, walk down stream.

@lostbuffalo perhaps total fail for those who know nothing about preliterate signs and communication. Actually very closely resembles traditional S American "writing" still in use by reservation Indians. Often people criticize details in movies because they don't understand the historical or cultural reference being made. Such is the case w/ the hanging sticks in Blair Witch; they looked like some kind of trespassing warning to the eye that has brains. Watch Cousteau's Amazon for an example.

@LucasMidkiff I never thought it was scary it was like...remembering bad family vacations with obnoxious siblings and lost craft items strewn about. the whole movie was liek wtf??? what is that and why should that be scary... look... firewood hanging in tree Ahhhh run for your lives ahhhhh. lol total fail... but the Blair witch 2....genuinely creepy.
