Keith proposes to Christina at the Lincoln Memorial.
Christina worked in DC for a year and her favorite place to visit was the Lincoln Memorial.
Firstly, years ago at Carmel Beach I got down on one knee to tie my shoe and she thought I was proposing. It was something that would come to bite me in the butt .
At the Lincoln Memorial, I told her, "I have a question to ask you." As I started to kneel, she said, "stop! DON'T PLAY WITH ME!" I replied, "you really don't want me to?" She then realized I was serious and said "YES!" So I got down on one knee and proposed. The place seemed to have gone quiet and people watched and took pictures. She said yes, then I put on the ring. Once we hugged, everyone started clapping and cheering. A lot of people came up to shake our hands and congratulate us.
While proposing you could hear people saying "oh my gosh, he's proposing to her!" By far the funniest part are the shocked faces of the guys that realized there was a proposal going on.
It was nice how cute old couples came up to tell us their love stories and how marriage is beautiful.
