If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, in a couple of years, the 14 year old "hardcore" kids who dislike this because it doesn't chug and involve a bloke singin like a girl, will grow up and grow into different genres. That's not to say this will suddenly become their favorite band, but musical tastes will develop and they will see appreciation in other styles and recognise a well constructed song when they hear it.
A label is not restricted to one style, and neither should your taste be.

I don't understand why people seem to think signing SHARKS was a bad idea from Rise. Rise had been trying to sign these guys for fuckin ages. Sweaty scene kids can't face reality in that not all bands sound the same, and what's wrong with his voice? It's a bliss change from a 24 year old dude covered in tattoo's singing like a girl, about a girl.
