AKA Johnny Cave, this William Shakespeare had two #1 hits on the national Australian charts in 1974. This song was the first, and was also the title track of his only LP. Like his other hit My Little Angel, Can't Stop Myself From Loving You was written by Vanda and Young (ex Easybeats).
Cave/Shakespeare endured a great deal of personal hardship after the hits stopped - chronicled in the article at http://tinyurl.com/2uqnyo7 - and died in early October 2010.
