@bhermoth Why he wants to fight Jin? I think it's because he saw Jin's power after he was being chased by Tekken Force in Tekken 3. See Hwoarang's Tekken 3 ending. He doesn't hate Jin. It's just rivalry/competition.

@IiIbao its because that something that happened between tekken 2 and 3. Jin and Hwoarang fought and ended in a draw, the only time hwoarang lost/draw in a match. So Hwoarang just wants to get a rematch but Jin ended up winning it is just friendly rivalry though

Prior to the events of Tekken 3, Hwoarang used to compete in underground fights and was undefeated until he fought Jin. The match ended in a draw, and Hwoarang considered this to be his first big "blemish" in his undefeated streak. Since then, he's been obsessed with defeating Jin- but what annoys him more is the fact that Jin isn't interested in a rematch- so in a sense, Hwoarang feels like Jin doesn't view him as a threat.
