The Art Deco Society of Washington, DC, held a Vintage Fashion Show on May 1, 2010. Society members and friends modeled clothes from the 1920s through the 1950s. The women's clothes came mainly from members' personal collections. Gene Elm of Matinee Idol supplied the men's clothes. Society members Lori Crandall and Shelley White directed the show. News coverage from the Ode Street Tribune. The music is Fats Wallers' Honeysuckle Rose, performed by Stephanie Trick, from her album, Hear That Rhythm, available at stephanietrick.com
Really wonderful to see the vintage clothing! Maybe next time the models could wear better undergarments (ie padded bras) & light corset type spanx garments....the reason I mention this is many of the models looked a bit slovenly & back in the 1930s undergarments helped hold the body appear firm and more ah structured. Otherwise, what a great show.
