@IEnjoyHippies She was starting to show the effects of Alzheimer's here, which would explain the notes (though she didn't really use them toward the end of the clip). In spite of this, she really gave a beautiful, moving tribute to Mark Goodson, and did it with such grace. I *still* cry when I see this video - it really is a gem.

Thank you so much for posting this rare and wonderful clip! This was shot around December 1991/January 1992, and Arlene was 84, but certainly didn't look her age. IIRC, this was actually done in her living room, on Park Ave. in NYC, where she (and Martin) had an apartment for many years. I always loved her little toast to Mark at the end: "Here's to you, darling boy...." She was class, personified. :)
