This made-for-TV commercial for Clorox (CLX) Formula 409 Glass and Surface Cleaner/Degreaser with Betty Boop ran in the 1960s.

Trivia: A spray of Formula 409 can be used as an insecticide. Insects will drop to the ground instantly!

  • How cute if only they made more commercials like this.

  • This was from that period in the early '70s, when the "Betty Boop revival" was in full swing....and someone at Texize {who manufactured the product before Clorox did} got the bright idea of using her to "pitch" Formula 409 in the style of one of her Fleischer musical numbers. Very good, but if only Mae Questel had been singing instead.....!!
