This is my end of winter quarter Othello/Reversi prototype board. I've started working on an 8x8. Once I have that working I'll post more video.

  • 2 problems, 1. if you aere doing a game prototype LEARN THE RULES FIRST as the game starts with pieces on the middles 4 squares, 2 in a tournament it's also a visual test so this would never be used for tournaments.

  • @njerzynek

    1) The board was made for proof of concept, not actual game play. I was just testing the monitoring and control ability of the hardware.

    2) The board was developed for fun. It wasn't intended to be used for a tournament.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I appreciate the feedback.

  • wow cool, how the hell did you do that? magnets and processors?

  • 3 more questions, 1, if a player has to pass does it recongise that, say if you are white and have no legal moves but you play one square by mistake and the computer thinks you are black it will mess up the game, 2, I see it turns the 'sandwitched' pieces over 1 at a time, I assume it will do 1 row at a trime, on a full sized board if you have to turn over 5-6 rows and it does them one at a time and you are playing bullet (for a laugh) [like 30 seconds or 1 min each for the game]

  • Hey how is going with your prototype?
