Whoops! The above debut performance of "Little Shirley Beans" is from the July 24, 2010 Suzy Williams concert "The Lit Show" at Beyond Baroque, Venice, CA. The show was also performed later that year in October at Oddball Films and Video in San Francisco, California. We see at the piano, by the way, Brad Kay.

The song, as sung here, never existed until Mr. Kay wrote it, after re-reading the book with singer Suzy Williams shortly after J.D. Salinger's death in 2010, inspired, as mentioned above, from page 114 in the paperback (does anyone have a hardcover?) Ms. Williams is the closest you're going to get to Estelle Fletcher, since she is fictional as well! The song debuted at Suzy Williams annual "The Lit Show" in October, 2010 at beyond Baroque in Venice, California.

If anyone ever wanted to know what this song that was written about in, "The Catcher In The Rye". Pretty cool for those days!! Wish I could find it sung by Estelle Fletcher...... but, You get the basic bluesy idea.
Old Phoebe would have loved it!
