Original ending to Conquest of the Planet of the Apes

After Caesar delevers his speech, the Apes raise their rifles to Breck to beat him to death. Lisa then says " no ", the second ape to speak other than Caesar. And then Caesar makes another speech showing a degree of mercy. This left test audiences with the hope of peaceful co-existence between apes and humans. This was also done in hopes the movie would get
a "G" rating by the MPAA. But with the violent dark side, it got a PG rating. However the ORIGIONAL ending consisted of Caesar making his speech then the apes proceed to beat Breck to death with their rifles. The test audiences reacted badly to this so the studio re-edited the ending with the existing footage. The re-dubbing consisted of Lisa saying "no", and Roddy McDowall's new speech of mercy. Fox Movie Channel shows this ending and it is found on the 5-disc Blu-ray Disc set to commerate the 40th anniversary of Planet of the Apes which shows a more dark violent battle with more blood which was cut in favor of the PG audience. This version is yet to be realeased on DVD.

I apologise for the racist remark by Maglioso. An opinion is like a nose, everybody has one but I had to delete his because not only was his remarks racist, but he obviously did not see this movie and how the " successful white people " tormented and tortured and humiliated the apes all through out the movie and how the black guy talked sense into Ceasar at the end after his famous " where there is fire, there is smoke " speech.

@etheangel2220 Joseph Stalin tried to breed man and gorilla to create super soldiers. I am sure some scientist already did it. Have you ever heard about the Monkey-man of Delhi. In 2001, in India, hundreds of people claim to have been attacked by something half man half monkey. History Channel made a documentary about it call "The curse of the monkey man". There is also the Big Foot in America. All this is possible but it is a crime against mankind and nature, governments would deny it.

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes is my favorite. The scene were Ceasar run with a M-16 is just epic. This ending is 100x better then the offical gay happy ending, and 1000x better then the new movie in wich Ceasar refuse to kill human...

@franciscodudeful Ok, they came out with the first movie. The director wanted to make a sequel because Heston made it very successful. When they approached him about it, he said he would make an appearance only if they killed his character off. The bomb drops end of story. However with Beneath being successful, they came up with a way for them to make a third in Escape by Zera and cornelius escaping in a rocket and going back in time. Conquest picked up where Escape left off.
