The Hot-Shot is an ultra-light compact carbon wick alcohol burner designed for use in backpacking and survival scenarios. It is a fantastic upgrade for fans of the Mini Bull Designs Mini-Atomic. This is an affordable carbon wick system that removes the need to reclaim unspent fuel.

  • So much fun to see 7 stoves cooking for 14 people at 12,000 feet underneath the stars. Success measured in smiles and not dollars!

  • All new Ebay price! Only $15 USD.

  • How long and how much fuel does it take to boil 2 cups of water?

  • stats are in the end credits of the vid. Boil times have many variables, so definitive descriptions would be false for any claims. However, I can tell you that with a max capacity of 2 oz. of fuel, the burner will boil 2 cups of room temp water to rolling in 9.5 minutes at 5K elevation.

  • Since elevation, starting water temp, ambient air temp, wind and fuel grade all impact the BTU to stove bottom, they will all impact boil times. These figure I gave are based on field tests and usage in Albuquerque, NM area.

  • Also, I have not yet made the Worm Hole stand commercially available. I know that it is a great stand for this stove.

Also, I am considering a reduction of the stove price and would appreciate your input in that regard.

  • Is this still available, and if so how do I go about getting one from you?? This looks very promising for my intro to alcohol stoves. Thanks!

  • Link to ebay store is now imbedded in the end of the vid. I could not post a link here in the comments....

  • Thanks for the kind words. I will be working on the close-ups. I had a camera failure, so may be a few days. I may need to borrow one to get it all done. But I definately will do so soon.

  • nice production..... can we get some still close- ups ( in focus).. Liked the intro.. well done
