I used my Sony HDR-SR11 to "film" my lava lamp for just over 5 hours at the highest quality setting. I then imported the file right into Pinnacle Studio 12 and sped it up to the maxiimum 500% speed, which I output as a .AVI file (still about 12.5gig file) and then imported THAT file into Pinnacle and sped it up 500% and output a file as if it was going to be a blu-ray disc, but only burned the image to my hard drive. The resulting 850 megabyte blu-ray movie file (.M2TS) is what is here.

Look close at the bottom of the image where you can see convection currents moving around in the parafin.

MAKE SURE TO WATCH IN HD!!!!
