i rode this ride at the oklahoma city state fair, i remember seeing this ride at the fair since i was like 3 im 16 now, oh and my dad said it sounds like the transmission is about to go out on the ride on this video lol

not anymore, last time it was there was in like 05 :...( i miss that ride, but they had 1001 naghts at the tulsa state fair and it aint there anymore eather :....(

Wow that sucks... I would take the Rainbow over 1001 naghts any day, esp. when they run a good program like on this video. I think Huss recalled all the Rainbow rides after that incident in Euorpe. Which sucks I think they should of just looked at the issue and fixed it, thats if there was an issue.

i miss this ride but one collapsed in europe (axel or something went bust...in a place you couldn't see from the outside of the ride) so the company discontinued the ride and removed all of the rainbow rides for saftey reasons (20 from across the world i think), they got similar versions ali baba etc... not as much fun as the classic rainbow though

In my opinion the one in Scandinavia wasn't being maintained to the best of their abilit,' I mean it did'nt even have the real sunface, it looks like a cardboard cutout.

That Rainbow in the video's from the now gone, Myrtle Beach Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, SC. The noise that you hear sounds like it's coming from the driveshafts inside the lower arm, either that, or the drive unit in the center behind the sunshine face. When that Rainbow "crashed" in Europe, people chickened out, thinking their very own Huss Rainbow was gonna do that. Sucks too, 'cuz the Rainbow's a good ride. It won't break unless it's looked after & taken care of, and greased when it needs it.

I miss this ride, and now i have no reason to go to the Oklahoma state fair. We use to get armbands just to ride the Rainbow over and over and over. It was like part of my childhood died when I saw this thing was gone, ...and apparently not coming back.

@ATLCoasterMan the issue was a piece that was only accessible by the huss company which was supposed to allow 5000 rides before it needed to be replaced but was faulty and only allowed for 3500 rides which some people found out the hard way...
