this version is a remake not the 1967 original. She sang and as long as I live with Red Foley one in the 50's and one in the 60's. There are different versions of one by one. I have about three or four versions of each of these songs. Roy Drusky sang One by One with Pricilla Mitchell (Jerry Reeds wife).

@dalymjrv For me she´s "the one and only Queen of Country Music"!! And she paved the way first for all the other female Country singers, that´s the fact. Sadly, only few people now that.

boy!!this song brings back fond memories.i remember when i was kid living in jackson county,olustee,oklahoma and going to some friends house and we would listen to that old tube-type philco radio and eating fried chicken,gravy and those big cat head bisquits and after that big meal,there would be home made icecream on the side!but,we would always leave enough time in the day to do our quail hunting.(the smaller town was called creta).

The only thing greater than this is somehow Apollo 13. If they called it Apollo 14 maybe they would have gone lost. But they knew already that the moon lays full of dust. You see how importent it was for them. I hope one day a European space ship goes there. Just to walk a bit in the dust. And to put there also a flag. It was a big disappointment for mankind. There were not 7 Kitty Wells. Nor gold.
