Biggest hit written by pianist Peter DeRose who broadcast, 1923-1939, with Mary Singhi as "The Sweethearts of the Air" on the NBC radio network. Published in 1933 as a piano composition. Became so popular in sheet music sales that Mitchell Parish added lyrics in 1938. The tune was a favorite of Baby Ruth. Recast in 1957 as a doowop classic by The Dominoes.

Wonderful! I too am happy to find this on YouTube. It is an old family favorite. My mom (1913-1989) played hundreds of pieces of sheet music from the 20s - 40s, and this was one of her and my Dad's favorites. Takes me back to the days when I as a young boy and my parents and older siblings would gather at the piano after supper and sing for an hour or so to our mother's piano music.
