This tutorial shows you just a few things that can be done with the pen tool in Photoshop. I show you how to cut out images and also how to make silhouettes a lot like those on the iPod adverts

  • thank u

But I wish, you realize that when youre describing tools and actions, you go into a exrtreme UK english form of speaking.

which makes it very difficult for us foreigners (lol)

    to understand.

i did get the most important part.

  • Thanks for the tutorial.. i know a very little of photoshop and found it quite useful.. have a question for you pls.. i got a retouch tool on iphoto for mac - which practically blurs/fades glitches into the colour or imagery of a selected area.. is there anything like it in photoshop? Cheers

  • I appreciate that you use diverse pictures to show you can do anything with different photos instead of using one type of picture.

  • @Tonicwine999

I have a problem at the exact same point. Can anyone explain how to crop this sub-mask? i don't know how to explain it very well... xD

  • After I have added the detail paths around the mouthguard (3:52) I cannot seem to get the parts that are supposed to 'cut out'. It has deleted the outline of the silhouette but seem to have missed the detailing around the mask. As if the paths were not linked together?

  • thx

  • was that first bit sped up? or is that straight up how fast you work with paths? I've done a few, and I'm nowhere near that quick...

  • lol to tim and eric hahaha

  • CS4

  • what ver is he using
