Adam, did you ever consider doing this in 3rd? What are the advantages of 2nd?

3rd postion would definitely be the default option in this. Since I overblow, and since I'm much more fluent in 2nd position, I found it easier this way. But you've got to hold down those pesky little thirds: avoid the 7 draw, the uninflected 3 draw, etc.
