We take for granted what it's like to do laundry outside the comfort and convenience of our own home with our own modern devices.

While not totally Flintstone, Fran shows you how a completely manual washing machine operates here in Costa Rica.

  • @kingdiamondsbodega Get a life and while you're at it, find a sense of humor.

  • I'm from Costa Rica, and that is an old ass washing machine. Only low-class people use those things nowadays, and even some of them have automatic ones. So it's not a "Costarican" way of doing laundry, it's just the poor way. Just sayin'. Fun vids :), I do have to say that you're pretty snobish sometimes :P but you just gotta get used to our way of living. We're chill about things, so try to, as you said, go with the flow. You'll find that most things don't go by the books ;) have fun!

  • @Tby206 - As you have seen with our videos, we like to have fun and occasionally that requires stretching the truth somewhat. As we were only in country a very short time, this was the first washer we have encountered so therefore I felt it was good fodder for a movie. Hope I did not offend.

  • @abrowne1950 Your video isn't meant to be funny. So telling me to have a sense of humor is irrelevant. Like a previous commenter said, this washers are NOT something unique to Costa Rican culture but a product that many poor Costa Ricans can only afford. Many people in Costa Rica have modern washers. Your video makes a generalization about Costa Rican culture based on your very limited experience and understanding. It's a problem shared by many white people who travel in foreign countries.
