your suppose to hold the curl before you drop so it will cool...or else the curl will start to fall apart. You don't have to leave your hair in the heat for as long if you do that. To save time i have a fan going near by so help the hair cool faster 3-6 seconds with the fan works for me

why can't all products like this come with a heat shield such a great idea.

@LaaLaaPhoenixMonroe First off, sorry for the long response. I AGREE, ALL curling irons need a HEAT SHIELD type of product! Oh MAYBE we could invent one that can go on ANY brand of any iron???? make some moolah off of that!
