Alekhines Defence: Chase Variation: Fuller vs Derby
In Alekhine's Defence Black allows white to overextend his pawns in the center and then he counter attacks.
Game was played in Felixstowe in 1949. Felixstowe is a seaside town in England.
1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 3.c4 Nb6 4.c5 Nd5 5.Nc3 Nxc3 [5...e6] 6.dxc3 d6 [6...Nc6] 7.Qb3 [7.Bc4 dxe5 (7...Nc6 8.exd6 exd6 9.Bf4) 8.Bxf7+ Kxf7 9.Qxd8; 7.Bc4] 7...dxe5 8.Bg5 Be6 8...Qd7 [8...Qd7] 9.Qxb7 Nd7 10.0--0--0 Qc8 11.Qc6 a6 11...h6 [11...Bxa2 12.Rxd7] 12.Nf3 Ra7 13.Nxe5 f6 14.Bc4! /\ 15.Bxe6. If 14...Bxc4, 15.Rxd7 leads to mate. Black resigned 14...Bxc4 [14...Bf5 15.Bf7+ Kd8 16.Nxd7 Bxd7 17.Be6 Ke8 18.Rxd7; 14...Bf5] 15.Rxd7 1--0

  • @dgozli No, it was not. There used to be commercial on TV which says: "Have a break have a kitkat". So I say to my students give checkmate as soon as you can and then have your kitkat
