Only time I consider the Lakers championships legitimate was when they had the likes of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt, Magic, Kareem, Byron Scott, Kurt Rambis, AC Green, and Michael Cooper playing for them. Back then basketball was actually basketball.
The Lakers 2000 and 2002 championships have asterisks as far as I am concerned. Too much controversy and evidence that they were given superstar calls.

@Stoolie33 i completely agree with you , most of the playoff games in the nba are rigged the 2000 , 2001 , 2002 , 2009 , 2010 playoffs were rigged there is a lot of evidence of that , the lakers have not won a legitimate nba championship since 1988 , the nba chooses what teams they would like to have in the nba finals

In Kobe's defense he didn't drop out of high school. He entered the draft after graduating high school.

@MrLedzeppelinfan33 The NBA is an entertainment enterprise in the same way as professional wrestling. It's a manipulated/rigged/controlled sham that is most interested in cold hard cash. It's as simple as that. If you like dunks and are willing to pay for it, fine. If you are buying into the bullshit the NBA spews that it is legitimate competition, you're just a fool who is easily separated from their money.

@LastSunrise1981 that is right the lakers was the best from 1980 - 1988 , but since then it's been too much drama , controversy , too much entitlement ! ! !

Truthfully, this made me hate the Laker even more, ironically Odom is playing with the man he pushed.

I had tremendous respect for Magic as a player. That being said, I find him to be nothing more than a two-faced front runner, just like many of the front runners in Los Angeles are. When, not if, the Lakers turn things around, I'm really not trying to hearing Magic propping up the Lakers. He had his chance to do so during last year's playoffs as well as at the beginning of this season. I would, however, offer to take Magic to lunch one day. He could have a meal for each face. What a joke?
