blah blah blah, tax dollars, ? what do you mean this is wasting money? if you are going to accuse of wasting money, u should accuse the mission in Iraq. Water-aid is a minimal cost to our developed countries and it is our responsibility to help people that are in need of clean water
Your comments are what i expect from an uneducated, unintelligent child. We in developed countries carn't even begin to comprehend how hard these peoples lives are. For the breadwinner of the family to get sick through drinking contaminated water (through no fault of there own) can be absolutely DEVASTATING to the family who relies on them. Show me 1 American who has to walk 6 hours a day to scoop infected water into a barrel just to survive. We're talking about the bare basics here CLEAN WATER!
if you guys want to make a difference check out nikola teslas wireles power transfer, i put up info on it, it would run your cleaning pumps in the middle of nowhere with just a wire in the ground.
There are restrictions on African farmers. Plus corrupted leaders make it easy for out siders to loot resources. Those who are not corrupted are labeled terrist.
in the end the us sells the cheapest product making it available.. so your argument actually works against you.. america is feeding these people.. and the other countries that cant sell their more expensive crop as you say have extra crop to feed their own country.. no1 starves... free market of supply and demand works its way out everytime.
It's a need, not a right. No one has a right to a 'commodity'. One has a right to his freedom and his liberty. I also have the right to help those people with no water, should I choose to.

If American's want to send their money overseas to these nations, and its out of their own pocket, not the tax payers, so be it.
I believe our nation has enough poor and sick that need our help right here in the good old USofA.
Most of these countries would stick a knife in our backs given the chance.
Billions of tax dollars go to these nations to be thrown away, squanders and pad the pockets of corrupt officials.
We can't save the world when we can't seem to save ourselves.
