This is not the final video delivered to Radio Head but an earlier test. The video was not directed by Hilton but by Straw Donkey (Alan Smith & Adam Foulkes). The final video began with an animated silhouette of the city viewed from a motorway and also contained a pan down of a large collage of Tom Yorke. They didn't exactly hate it. They felt it didn't fit with other videos.

Unfortunately, since us Radiohead fans back then were all on dial-up, we weren't able to download the complete file before it got pulled from the website and this incomplete video is all we have left. Luckily Quicktime .MOVs were somewhat malleable in that we were able to recover the first 2:30 of it but with distortion where the missing data is. No one in the radiohead fandom was able to get more of the file as far as RH forums are aware and now is mostly forgotten to all but the hardcore fans.

HISTORY TIME, KIDS!! Back in 1998, before high-speed internet was available to all and most people were still on 56K dial-up, Radiohead asked director Simon Hilton to shoot a video for Let Down.  After Mr. Hilton delivered the video, the band decided they hated it and refused to air it. Mr Hilton later on placed a .MOV (this is important) of the video available in his personal webpage portfolio. Radiohead noticed this early on and asked him to remove it
