@GlenGorgeous yes, especially when they take regular grease, put it in a small tube, slap a gun grease label on it and then charge 3 times the price!

@jroxx11211 Very true. I started using bearing grease after I couldn't note the difference between bearing grease and shooter's choice. They both seemed to have the same qualities. Why pay more for a vile of grease, when you can go straight to walmart and buy a tub of grease for cheap!

I use wheel bearing grease as well... I put a bit on the slide rails, in addition to the outside of my barrel--focusing on the contact points. For the inside of my barrel, I put a thin coat of RIG Universal Gun Grease through it. My gun works like a champ in that I never had a problem.

I used to use light weight gun oil in my firearms but have recently converted to grease and it makes a world of difference. Oil just seems to bleed everywhere except where it's needed. One of my freshly cleaned/oiled .22 hand guns had the slide stick open after 400 rounds. Now after using a quality grease it never had the same problem. I'm not sure why more people don't use grease. A lightweight oil is good for corrosion protection but is terrible for wear protection.

I've been using a tub of bearing grease that same size on my firearms for almost 15 years. AR's, Glocks, Garand, M14… you name it.. I have it, and this stuff works AWESOME on em all!! Its good to go. People just don't know… . Can you believe I'm still working off the original tub?

GREASE-GREASE-GREASE !!!!!

it makes total sense, being mechanically inclined, as soon as i purchased my first weapon, a glock 26, a few years back, i cleaned it after the first time shooting. i then went to the work bench in the garage, got my tub of bearing grease, and greased my slide. it worked perfectly and i've never had a problem after thousands of rounds and lots of recleanings and greasings, it operates as good as new, why spend extra money and get less product when bearing grease works great.

$20 where do you shop!!!!

Good vid man, I've made a vid awhile ago on the same thing. I use high temp wheel barring grease. It's ment to go into automobiles where there is going to be non stop friction, heat up to 350+ degress and not dry out. I as well noticed while using pro shot gold that after like 60 rnds it would get slugish but with the grease the gun fires smooth every single shot. I also bought mine in 2009 for like $3 and havent even used a quarter of it yet.

That coastal grease is the SAME KIND of grease that I use in MY AR!! Everyone says I'm crazy and that oil is better. I call bullshit. The Coastal high temp lithium grease won't run off or dry up when you're running it hard! Good job man!! Way to prove my point!!
I work in a industry were I see every day that grease is just not grease the type does matter I see the damage the wrong type can cause.. I don't even use grease in my guns.
