Previously Mint Cakes were bought out by merchanters. I made a video on showing how to get one, hoping it would mess up their merchant. With 27k+ views I think I haven't completely failed.
Currently Mint Cakes are junk, mostly caused by a system update which enabled players to get it from the 'cuisine minigame more often.
I will just leave the video on youtube.
Short: Mint Cakes are junk, dont buy them.

I "scammed" Mint cakes off people when they still had a decent street value. I stood in G.E. and picked random 100+ combat people who might have completed "Path of Glouphrie"-quest. I typed their names into Adventurer's log and checked if they had done the quest. Whenever I found someone who had done it, I asked them if they want to get 50k and it'll only take 1min. We used the Spirit tree to go to Poison waste. There I gave them T. toads' legs and they took the Mint cake and gave it to me. Lawl

Got 1k mint cakes, trying to make them rare again my friend that has like p hat set bought mint cakes for 1.2B cash. We take a huge risk but whatever if it works im rich again if it doesn't, i quit.
