Alrighty, this question comes up a LOT, so anyway, decided to make a new video on it, that is a bit more polished than my previous one. This does not count as the tutorial for the week.

Using this you can install:
Patterns in Gimp
Brushes in Gimp
Scripts / Script-FU in GImp
Plugins in Gimp
Gradients in Gimp
Themes in Gimp
and More

  • Unfortuantely for me, I can't pastr anything new into the GIMP folders..i'm on a mac...can ya help me please?

  • I tried this and it worked and I was quite happy. Then Gimp messed up so I restarted my mac and now none of the files will show up and I cant re-install them for some reason... Any help is well needed.

  • I have issues getting the script onto my desktop to put into my script folder. When I download it. It downloads onto like my internet page. When I try to click it says it can not be opened with safari. Anyway to change that? Btw I just bought a Mac. First time user.

  • thank u sooooooooo

    ooo muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Dude.... I love you!!!

  • (countinuing from other comment) ...save it as a .gbr but like i said it will probably work with .abr file, then reopen gimp and look in your brushes

    hope this helped :)

  • YES!!! After playing around a little bit i finally got it!!

ok for others if you havent tried it try this save your brushes and keep them in the zip folder but save them some where else. now right click and click "extract all" then save here---> C:\Program Files (x86)\Gimp-2.0\share\gimp\2.0 if your computer is the same as mine (windows) it should be there it will save them as a .abr file that should be the right type if not (ill post a second comment because im running out of space)

  • My ZIP file wont open!!! :O

  • You can also place the script files into the application support folder for gimp. In there is a folder called scripts. Just copy and paste the script files into there.
