In Egremont what you experience may seem otherworldly, but it is in fact very real. The archive screening of Here's a Health to the Barley Mow will give a kaleidoscopic vision of past traditions, folklore and rituals, many of which continue to this day in altered forms at the Egremont Crab and Sports Fair -- a 700 year old institution and our host for events in Cumbria. Transmitting the festival on-site and online will be Stan's Café, out of retirement football commentators who find it hard to distinguish the game from life itself. Fundamental questions about the sport will be brought to the surface with the first game of Pigs Bladder Football to take place in the 21st Century.
