Cloverfield - Chaos in California

When the Cloverfield monster attacks, tourists Kyle, Marcus, and Jared catch it all on tape.  The three friends make it their personal goal to find out what is happening to the city.  But first, they must make it their goal to survive.


The movie was created for the "When Cloverfield Hit" movie contest (held by Paramount Pictures). The movie was declined because it apparantly 'broke official rules'. I'm still not sure which rule it broke...the contest officials will not tell us...which sucks, because I am pretty confident we could have won the $4,500.

Amazing attempt, guys, but the acting, dialogue, and story (in parts) killed it. Like, how would a giant and relatively slow-moving monster attack NYC, then immediately high-tail it over to LA to wreak more destruction? Don't you think the government would have provided ample warning? Also, what were those random explosions on the side of the window near the beginning? ALWAYS avoid corny dialogue like "Something is weird" or "What are those footsteps?"; it tells your audience what to think.

When ythey zoomed in on the HOLLYWOOD sign and it was still exploding, wouldnt you still be able to see something like, um i dunno maybe the 350 FOOT TALL MONSTER

Good idea, but the special effects weren't that great, especially at 1:26, that building wasn't very realistic, and you explained it too much.

To be honest if i never saw colverfield and never been on youtube? and whatched this video! i would actually think this was the movie :D
