  • Wow, where did you find atlantis? How did you install that? I dont have that in my compizfusion

  • Like i said before, it depends on your system, since i contribute to kubuntu development, i make my own packages from svn, but the latest (k)ubuntu intrepid has atlantis, you just need to enable it in the compiz control center.

    enjoy.

  • That is coolness^2. Heh, looks like your computer's having a hard time keeping up with the coolness though.

  • Actually is the software video capturer that is having a hard time capturing all the coolness :) the frame drops arent because of compiz but because the soft capturer cant keep up.

    cheers.

  • Ah, I didn't even consider that. I've used capture software myself, but I always crank the framerate up to 30. The cylinder... where did you get it? I have the bleeding edge compiz stuff, but I can't find the cylinder plugin.

  • You need to compile from svn, if you are using bleeding edge you should have cylinder and sphere :) see my other videos.

  • @bozealien Ok ok... I understand your problem. Even I had this problem earlier.... but now I fixed it!!

You know how?? Right click on your desktop and click Change Desktop Background and go to Visual Effects..

and check whether, the option, "Extra" is selected. If not selected, select it!! Then try compiz.. and it will work!!

  • I'm new to Linux, I installed Conky and successfully modified it. But in no way mine looks as cool as yours. Can you link me to your Conky config file? I want to study it to see how you managed to make it do those radial displays.
