As the opening speaker to the 2012 NEA Education Support Professional Annual Conference in Memphis, TN., NEA Secretary-Treasurer Becky Pringle proudly declared her feelings for her fellow support staff colleagues and members when she said "My mother is my favorite ESP." Her mother was a head cook at a head start school in Philadelphia PA., and to her mom, the work "was not a job - but a career." Listen to her thoughts on leadership and how ESPs can organize in their schools and communities to advance student achievement and against the budget cuts threatening success in the nation's public schools.
