This is at the 2011 livestock auction championship. My Papa was asked to come back and sell a few cattle to show everyone how it is suppose to be done. 42 years later some say he sounds better now than then, yep that's my Papa.
I grew up listening to Archie Moody also--every Saturday, he even made me work those auctions!!! He is the best there is and I thank my son so much for posting this!! My daddy had the best time at this event!! He will be 85 years old in July!!
I grew up listening to Archie Moody every Tuesday at Morris Livestock in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was in the 1960's and early 70's. When they started selling the old beef cows at night he would average 4 head per minute. I still think he is the best auctioneer I have ever listened to. And he still sounds the same today! Thanks for the post!
I am proud to say that my Grandfather, Father and I have worked with this fine gentleman. This was such a pleasure to watch. Thanks for posting!!
