  • Yes, I understand the concept of copyright laws. I know Meg & Elizabeth sell their videos, since I purchased the DVD I used here. I posted this video because I was asked about what clip I used to make an animated version. This 31 sec clip is useless as an instructional video, being incomplete and out of context. So I doubt I am cutting into their bottom line. In fact it seems more likely that posting this clip w discussion is more likely to increase interest in their work & therefore sales.

  • Yes EZ, I understand. I'll take it down if you'd like me too.

  • @victrolux "it seems more likely...to increase interest"...

Exactly! That's how I ended up here in the first place - I didn't want to buy without at least a short preview. If I end up making a purchase, then EZ and her daughter will owe you a thank you. Thirty seconds...seriously, ladies....

  • Imagine this...Meg (who is the knitter in the video you have posted here) and her mother EZ worked hard to establish their company. It is 2012 and the videos are still for sale, on schoolhousepress website but also on Amazon. Then you put the content of the video online for all to see. Not only are you taking money out of this families pocket you are viloating copyright laws. By all means you should immediately take this off of here because it isn't right all the way around.

  • Do you know this is Illegal to post you cant just put stuff up Willy Nilly...This COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL.

  • Thank you so much !

  • too fast

  • victrolux - this makes your work even more impressive! Thank you!

German twisted ... hmmm. As you may be aware - Many of the common ways of knitting (ie. Continental) fell out of favor during WWII due to it's being thought of as "German" (ie bad guys) and Zimmerman brought it back into favor. (which is fine, since it's just knitting, folks). Again, I do appreciate being able to see the complexity of what you did to this original.
