  • Hey, Fellow SV-haver here.

Are you shifting to second without the clutch? (when the front wheel is up)

    Thx!

  • Welcome fellow SV-haver. Most of the time I use the clutch. When I don't it pops up super hard and fast when I shift and it freaks me out!

I assume you are the same mudsurfer1234 of SVRider?

i cant wait to get off my ped an get one!!!

  • my SV loves the power wheelie. be safe fellow SV-haver

  • @hydrosav2007 Practice your power wheelies in first gear before you try stand-ups in second. You'll probably stop doing clutch wheelies once you learn power wheelies... 1st gear, accelerate hard to 6,000rpm then snap throttle off and back on full immediately. Make sure to sit on the back of the seat.

Clutching in 2nd is easier than power in 2nd, but i've seen videos of both being done. I've not attempted 2nd gear yet myself though... practice practice practice

  • hello, nice vid, i just taught myself first gear clutch wheelies, i havent gotten any power wheelies on mine (all stock 08 s) even in first, maybe a few inches, im trying to learn stand up second gear wheelies but i havent had much luck with bounce and power or clutching it, (i cut off a piece of my clutch lever to allow a good hand hold and use two fingers to let out the clutch, less helped a lot!!) any tips from anyone, stuff ive seen on forums are more miss than hit. thanks

  • Sweet mate... lookin really good, ive not long got an sv650 sk6 im jst trying 2 learn how 2 wheelie. What gear you in on this video ?

  • Good to know it can rip up in 2nd, I am not too comfortable in the 1st. (:

  • beg to differ! I can power my K5 SV up in 2nd with no clutch, just pre-load the front suspension and twist then let off then hammer it she picks up easily in 2nd for me.
